SAVE $20: As of Aug. 20, the JBL Charge 6 can be purchased for $179.95 at Amazon and JBL’s online store. This represents a 10% reduction from its standard price of $199.95, making it the best offer since its debut.
Among all the Bluetooth speakers we’ve evaluated at Mashable, of which there are plenty, we consider the JBL Charge 6 to be the preferred option for the majority. It’s “sufficiently large to deliver sound that will fill an outdoor gathering, yet compact enough to fit on your bookshelf,” our reviewer observes. “Additionally, it features a USB-C connection for charging other devices.”
One drawback of the Charge 6 is its cost. Priced at $199.95, it’s $20 higher than the previous model, the Charge 5, and $50 more than JBL’s well-liked Flip speakers. Nevertheless, we believe the Charge 6 justifies its price at the regular MSRP given its outstanding sound quality and versatility. It’s even more enticing now that it’s on sale: As of Aug. 20, both Amazon and JBL have it priced at $179.95, a 10% discount.
Per the Amazon price-monitoring service CamelCamelCamel, this is the Charge 6’s lowest price since its launch in April. It also marks the first occasion that its blue, pink, purple, red, white, and squad color options have been discounted.
The Charge 6 was also available on sale at Best Buy during the time of writing, but at four cents higher.
