This film will serve as an extended conclusion for the series, with author and showrunner Jenny Han both writing and directing.

“There is another significant milestone remaining in Belly’s journey, and I believed only a movie could do it justice. I am immensely thankful to Prime Video for their ongoing support of my vision for this story and for enabling the sharing of this final chapter with the audience,” Han expressed in a press statement.

Information about the storyline of *The Summer I Turned Pretty: The Movie* is currently confidential, but Han’s remarks offer a clue. She noted a “significant milestone remaining in Belly’s journey.” The series wraps up with Belly selecting her first love, Conrad Fisher, in line with Han’s books.
