Netflix is gearing up to broaden the realm of *The Witcher* with the launch of the forthcoming anime film, *The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep*.

Directed by Kang Hei Chul and produced by *The Witcher* series showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the film centers on Geralt of Rivia, voiced by Doug Cockle (the legendary voice of Geralt in *The Witcher* game series). This time, Geralt becomes embroiled in a centuries-old strife between humans and merpeople. When a series of enigmatic assaults on a coastal town threatens to spark a full-blown war, it falls to the renowned monster hunter to unearth the truth and avert disaster.

However, Geralt will not confront this challenge on his own. His steadfast companion, the bard Jaskier (voiced by Joey Batey, reprising his role from the live-action series), accompanies him on this dangerous quest. They are also joined by a new ally, Essi Daven, voiced by Christina Wren. Furthermore, Anya Chalotra makes a return to voice the formidable sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg. Yet, the trailer alludes to underlying tension between Yennefer and Geralt, indicating their relationship might be tumultuous.
