Threads Streamlines Tracking Multi-Part Posts

If you are a frequent Threads user, you may have observed several recent enhancements: a fresh 10,000-character limit, the addition of a text attachment feature, and as Threads has stated, they are “simplifying the process of threading on Threads.”

In the past, creating a multi-post Thread on the app was not a seamless experience, nor was it easy to notice when others did it. Such threads are beneficial for live-posting events, viewing shows in real-time, or sharing multi-part narratives. Currently, Threads is trialing a feature that “facilitates the visualization of a series of interconnected posts by introducing a label that indicates a post’s sequence in the thread.” For instance, a post may show “1/4” if it happens to be the first of four posts within a Thread.

Threads is also revamping how threads are displayed on profiles, enabling users to view the “first and second posts in a thread, followed by a marker of the count of additional posts you’ve included.” When someone taps into your thread, they will see all your replies consolidated in one place, simplifying the tracking of the dialogue.

“To create a multi-part thread, begin by composing your initial post in the composer. After that, click ‘Add to thread’ to continue building. Repeat this as often as necessary to narrate your story through a series of related posts,” Threads clarified.
