Threads is swiftly growing, yet creators need improved tools for success. To tackle this, Meta is enhancing analytics by improving Insights to assist creators in understanding which content resonates.
“We aspire for Threads to be the leading platform for sharing viewpoints that ignite discussions,” a Meta representative told Mashable. “Creators have voiced a desire for more direction on achieving success on Threads, so we’re consistently upgrading Insights to aid them in pinpointing content that encourages engaging conversations within their communities.”
For content creators or influencers looking to expand, grasping what works is vital. Introducing: revamped Threads Insights, crafted to streamline tracking post performance and content discovery—key insights for users developing communities and pursuing a career in social media.
Now, Threads users can access “Metrics” within the Insights dashboard to see engagement metrics such as likes, replies, quotes, and reposts. By clicking on “Followers,” users can delve into geographic and demographic information about their followers. Users can also track post performance over time, whether it sustains a viral presence or fades quickly. Moreover, users can check where the content was found—Instagram, Facebook, or directly in the Threads app.
Threads is nearing X in daily user count, with 115.1 million daily active users on its iOS and Android applications as of June 2025, based on data from market intelligence provider Similarweb (as reported by TechCrunch). In comparison, X had 132 million daily active users during that same time frame.
Threads benefited from attracting users, given that its ecosystem was born from Instagram, offering a pre-existing community and easy account setup. However, the platform indicates that over one-third of daily Threads users now follow predominantly different accounts on Threads compared to Instagram.
“We’re refining Threads to be the foremost platform for sharing fresh viewpoints and continuing to back creators in building and growing their communities on Threads,” a Meta blog entry notes.
