Tony Hale Presents “Say Action: Monster Movies Edition” as a Homage to Sketch

Tony Hale, celebrated for his comedic talents, has entertained both critics and audiences through his roles in sitcoms like *Arrested Development* and *Veep*, the mini-series *The Decameron*, and family films like *Toy Story 4* and *Hocus Pocus 2*. In his newest endeavor, *Sketch*, Hale showcases a more serious aspect, performing alongside children dealing with loss and illustrated creatures.

Helmed by Seth Worley, *Sketch* centers on a family in grief after the passing of their mother. Hale plays the father of two children who are navigating their sorrow in distinct ways. His son attempts to keep a positive spirit, while 11-year-old Amber (Bianca Belle) expresses her frustration through a sketchbook teeming with terrifying monsters. When an unexpected turn of events and a sprinkle of magic animate these drawings, the family must come together to face their collective grief and tackle the obstacles that lie ahead.

To honor *Sketch* and Hale’s contributions, Mashable Entertainment Editor Kristy Puchko had the distinguished comedic actor participate in “Say Action!” This improv game involves reciting iconic movie quotes, often sourced from monster films, with a creative spin, such as adopting an LA accent. Hale thrived in the game, delivering both funny and touching performances. Which one resonated with you the most? Would you want to try this game?
