The President of the United States is eagerly posting AI content online, picturing a situation where a former president faces jail time.
President Donald Trump uploaded the video on his platform, Truth Social. In the AI-crafted clip, Trump is shown alongside former President Barack Obama at the White House, mirroring their genuine, uncomfortable meetings, before agents arrive and escort Obama away. The AI-generated Trump smiles as Obama is depicted in prison, dressed in an orange jumpsuit.
Although such actions from a sitting president may have been shocking in the past, it is not unexpected for Trump to adopt AI-generated attacks on Obama. He has often commented on his predecessor since Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard asserted there was evidence that the Obama administration fostered the notion of Russian interference in the 2016 election.
The timing of the Truth Social post alongside Gabbard’s assertions is significant, as both liberals and many MAGA supporters have criticized Trump for not disclosing Jeffrey Epstein’s files. The president even faced criticism on Truth Social regarding his remarks about Epstein, which is uncommon. The management of Epstein’s files and Trump’s well-known association with the late financier, accused of sex trafficking minors, have emerged as major concerns for the president.
Now, a few days later, Trump is gleefully envisioning Obama’s arrest. When in doubt, it appears to be a dependable strategy for the president.
