Twitch Restricts Streamer Uploads and Highlights to 100 Hours

**Twitch Sets Storage Quotas for Certain Content**

Twitch is enforcing new storage limits for specific categories of content on its platform.

The Amazon-owned streaming service, widely recognized for gaming content but also hosting various activities like cooking streams, revealed on its [support page](https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/video-on-demand?language=en_US#storage) that content classified as “Highlights” and “Uploads” will henceforth be capped at a 100-hour storage limit per account. Nonetheless, this limitation **does not** extend to temporarily saved VODs of live broadcasts or shorter, streamer-uploaded Clips.

As Highlights and Uploads are generally longer than Clips, only these two types of content will contribute to the new limit, which goes into effect on **April 19**.

### Who Will Be Impacted?
Twitch notes that less than **0.5% of users** currently surpass the 100-hour limit for Highlights and Uploads. Those who are impacted will receive direct alerts. If they fail to reduce their stored content by the deadline, their excess Highlights and Uploads may be **automatically removed**.

Following April 19, exceeding the limit will be impossible, thus eliminating concerns over automatic deletions.

If you belong to the small group of users affected by this adjustment, now is the time to organize your stored content before the new rules are enforced.
