Animation icon Genndy Tartakovsky has captivated fans with creations such as Dexter’s Laboratory, Samurai Jack, the Hotel Transylvania franchise, and Primal. However, his new film Fixed targets a more mature audience.
The story revolves around a dog named Bull (voiced by Adam DeVine) who realizes his owners have plans to neuter him, taking away his cherished testicles. Fixed brings Bull’s anatomy and his testicles to life. If you’ve ever wanted to witness the infamous “butthole cut” from 2019’s Cats, then Fixed is the perfect movie for you.
Fearing his forthcoming castration, Bull sets out for one last epic night with his canine pals Rocco (Idris Elba), Fetch (Fred Armisen), and Lucky (Bobby Moynihan). Their escapades feature squirrel-hunting rampages and jaunts to dog strip clubs. Amid the R-rated frenzy, will Bull reveal his feelings to the nearby dog Honey (Kathryn Hahn)?
Bold in its vulgarity yet strangely endearing, Fixed faced years of development struggles. In 2024, Warner Bros. Discovery pulled it from release, alongside other finished titles like Batgirl, Coyote vs. Acme, and Scoob! Holiday Haunt. The distribution later shifted to Sony Pictures Animation, which has collaborated with Netflix on projects like The Mitchells vs. The Machines.
Fixed is now just weeks away from its release after several delays, and you can catch a glimpse of its outrageous antics in the trailer above.
Fixed premieres on Netflix Aug. 13.
