Valerie Cherish Is Back: The Comeback Season 3 Preview!

She still has it.

Valerie Cherish (Lisa Kudrow) is back for the third and final season of HBO’s The Comeback, which is crafted by Michael Patrick King and Kudrow. The initial two seasons were broadcast in 2005 and 2014, offering incisive observations about sitcoms, reality television, and the entertainment business.

This cult favorite now tackles fresh Hollywood challenges, with AI as a significant element. Valerie’s latest sitcom How’s That? is completely penned by AI, leading to friction with the show’s other writers (Abbi Jacobson and John Early). Valerie’s publicist Billy (Dan Bucatinsky) is excited about it.

The teaser showcases Valerie’s participation in major Hollywood happenings of the 2020s. She takes part in the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes alongside Fran Drescher, appears on Hot Ones (struggling through it), and hangs out with Trixie Mattel.

Returning cast members include Damian Young as Valerie’s spouse Mark Berman and Laura Silverman as reality TV director Jane Benson. Season 3 also introduces Tim Bagley, Matt Cook, Jack O’Brien, Ella Stiller, Barry Shabaka Henley, Tony Macht, Brittany O’Grady, Zane Phillips, Julian Stern, and Andrew Scott.

The Comeback Season 3 debuts on March 22 at 10:30 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max. Seasons 1 and 2 can be streamed on HBO Max.
