Summer officially kicks off on Friday, June 20, marking an important occasion: the arrival of Amazon Prime Day. You may find yourself debating whether to seize deals the moment the sale launches or hold out for the subsequent Prime event. We’re here to equip you with all the details necessary to make that choice, including when the next Prime Day will occur.
When is the upcoming Prime Day?
While it might appear that Amazon frequently organizes Prime events, Prime Day is officially held once a year during the summer. Nevertheless, for the last three years, Amazon has also orchestrated a major sale event in the fall (referred to as Prime Big Deal days in 2024). Essentially, it serves as a second Prime Day. Additionally, for the past two years, Amazon has hosted a week-long shopping occasion in the spring called Amazon’s Big Spring Sale. Although the deals might not reach the heights of Prime Day’s offerings, it is recognized as Amazon’s initial major savings event of the year.
In 2025, Prime Day will kick off on Tuesday, July 8, and run through July 11, providing four complete days of shopping, marking it as the longest Prime Day ever. Even though it spans two days longer than usual, the sale is at its standard time: Amazon traditionally schedules Prime Day for mid-July, commencing on a Tuesday. Deals are already starting to emerge prior to the event and will likely continue after it wraps up at 2:59 a.m. ET on Saturday, July 12 (or 11:59 p.m. PT on Friday, July 11).
Once the sales wrap up, the subsequent Prime-themed shopping event will be in the fall. The next Prime Day-like occurrence is anticipated to happen in October 2025 (unless Amazon surprises us) and will not officially be termed Prime Day.
In 2022, 2023, and 2024, the October Prime Day-style event was held during the second week of October. If Amazon adheres to a similar timetable as in recent years, the forthcoming Prime Day will likely take place on Oct. 7 and 8, 2025.
Are the Prime Day deals valuable?
It’s tough to feel enthusiastic about a significant shopping event amidst prevalent economic worries. This year, the prices of everything from electronics to apparel to cleaning supplies have increased due to President Donald Trump’s tariffs and various economic influences.
If you’re wondering whether shopping during Prime Day 2025 is worthwhile, consumers mindful of inflation can take heart knowing that Prime Day is recognized for outstanding summer discounts. Aside from Black Friday, it’s likely the best opportunity to buy Amazon devices, Apple products, robot vacuums, everyday necessities, smartwatches, headphones, and more.
