We’re returning to the wilderness for *Yellowjackets* Season 3, and if the latest trailer is any indication, both the past and present incarnations of the Yellowjackets are in for a harsh journey.

In the historical timeline, the stranded soccer squad is dealing with the repercussions of their first grueling winter in the wild. Natalie (portrayed by Sophie Thatcher, *Heretic*) has assumed a leadership position, yet her authority appears to be tenuous. Tensions are rising, as Shauna (Sophie Nélisse) and Misty (Samantha Hanratty) seem to be questioning her control. Additionally, Natalie might be concealing Coach Ben (Steven Krueger), who notoriously set fire to the team’s cabin in the Season 2 finale.

On the other hand, in the present day, the adult Yellowjackets are frantically attempting to keep their sinister secrets hidden. However, their attempts may come at a price, as the trailer suggests increasing distrust and treachery within the group. One particularly startling scene depicts Misty (Christina Ricci) apparently stabbing Shauna (Melanie Lynskey) in the back—literally.

But that’s merely the start of the turmoil hinted at in the *Yellowjackets* Season 3 trailer. The footage also features disturbing glimpses of gnawed teeth sinking into flesh, the introduction of new cast member Hilary Swank, who soon discovers just how “insane” the Yellowjackets can be, and more unsettling images of the group’s ritualistic cannibalism. Buzz buzz indeed!
