“Zero Day Trailer: Robert De Niro and Angela Bassett Combat a Cyber Assault”

Robert De Niro takes on the character of a past U.S. president tasked with revealing the perpetrators of a catastrophic cyberattack in *Zero Day*, a forthcoming limited series on Netflix that resonates a bit too closely with reality.

De Niro plays former President George Mullen, now at the helm of the Zero Day Commission, a high-stakes initiative aimed at identifying those accountable for the assault. Following directives from the current president, enacted by Angela Bassett, Mullen employs extreme tactics, which include detaining civilians without proper warrants. Simultaneously, he grapples with relentless scrutiny from conspiracy-driven YouTubers (Dan Stevens) and battles to keep his own hidden truths from coming to light. The tension intensifies, pushing Mullen to the brink.

Developed and scripted by *Narcos* producer Eric Newman and ex-president of NBC News Noah Oppenheim, *Zero Day* is set to offer an exhilarating political thriller featuring a formidable cast. In addition to De Niro, Bassett, and Stevens, the lineup includes Jesse Plemons, Connie Britton, Lizzy Caplan, Bill Camp, Matthew Modine, Joan Allen, Gaby Hoffmann, and Clark Gregg.

Save the date—*Zero Day* premieres on Netflix on February 20.
