What is Connections: Sports Edition?

The NYT‘s latest daily word game, developed in collaboration with The Athletic, the New York Times’ sports reporting platform, is now accessible. Connections can be played on web browsers and mobile devices, requiring participants to group four words with a shared connection.

Each puzzle consists of 16 words categorized into four groups. These groups might feature book titles, software, country names, and so forth. Although multiple words may appear to fit together, there is only one correct combination.

If a player accurately identifies all four words in a group, those words are taken off the board. An incorrect guess is counted as a mistake — players can make up to four mistakes before the game concludes.

Players can also rearrange and shuffle the board to identify connections more effortlessly. Moreover, each category is color-coded, with yellow being the simplest, succeeded by green, blue, and purple. Just like Wordle, you can share your outcomes with friends on social media.
