Mads Mikkelsen and Bryan Fuller Talk about the Path from Hannibal to Dust Bunny

Bryan Fuller, recognized for his distinctive combination of eccentricity and charm in series such as Pushing Daisies and Dead Like Me, makes his feature film directorial debut with Dust Bunny. This movie fuses Amblin influences with the ominous presence of Hannibal’s lead, Mads Mikkelsen.

Dust Bunny centers on young Aurora (Sophie Sloan), who is convinced that a gigantic, 12-foot-tall dust bunny has consumed her parents. She seeks assistance from her enigmatic neighbor, a hitman portrayed by Mikkelsen.

In a Say More discussion with Mashable, Entertainment Editor Kristy Puchko conversed with Fuller and Mikkelsen about their shift from Hannibal to Dust Bunny, their teamwork, and the potential for a Pushing Daisies revival. Fuller also mentioned introducing Lee Pace to audiences, initially casting him in 2004’s Wonderfalls and later as the protagonist in 2007’s Pushing Daisies.
