Lego’s Star Wars Release for May the 4th Has Arrived, Featuring Half of the Sets Priced Below $50

As May 4th gets closer, my nephew and I are gearing up for our apartment ritual: heading to BrickinBad (a local “Lego collector hub”) so he can pick out a fresh set for us to assemble together over the weekend. We’re not die-hard Star Wars enthusiasts, but you don’t have to be to appreciate a solid Lego build.

Lego’s yearly May the 4th launch is infamous for being a pricey, shelf-clearing affair. However, reviewing the 2026 collection, the prices are quite affordable. Sure, there’s a $250 Ultimate Collector Series ship included, but most sets are just beneath $50.

The official promotional period stretches from May 1 to May 6, yet seven of the eight new sets will be available on shelves starting April 26. Nonetheless, if you hold off and purchase them in May, Lego will provide exclusive freebies — such as a complimentary Darksaber set when you spend over $160.

Whether you’re treating yourself to new desk embellishments or taking a child on a weekend toy expedition, here’s the complete rundown:

Lego Star Wars The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter (75442)

It wouldn’t be May the 4th without an elaborate Ultimate Collector Series model to kick off the festivities. This 1,809-piece N-1 Starfighter is the most expensive set at $249.99, but purchasing it guarantees you an exclusive Mandalorian and Grogu Display gift. It releases on May 1 for Lego Insiders and May 4 for the general public, so be sure to grab it before it sells out.

Lego Star Wars The Razor Crest (75447)

If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly weekend endeavor ($250 is a bit steep), Mando’s legendary original ship is an excellent substitute. This 930-piece version of the Razor Crest becomes available on April 26, and if you wait to buy it during the May event for $149.99, it qualifies for a free Razor Crest mini-build.

Lego Star Wars Grogu, Mandalorian Apprentice (75446)

For those who enjoy constructing characters over ships, this 1,200-piece model captures Grogu in his apprentice phase. (Delaying your purchase until May also gives you the free Razor Crest mini-build.) It’s detailed enough to showcase on a work desk without appearing overly toy-like, plus there’s truly no limit to how much Grogu merchandise you can have in your home.

Lego Star Wars Anzellan Starship (75445)

If you’re a fan of Babu Frik and his charming droidsmith race, this 701-piece ship is a mid-range choice. It becomes available on April 26 for $74.99 and is another set that earns you the free Razor Crest mini-build if bought during the promotional timeframe.

Lego Star Wars Darth Vader Bust (75439)

You can purchase this 349-piece Darth Vader bust starting April 26. It’s perfect if you just want a small, $49.99 piece of the May the 4th excitement for your desk. If you’re looking to complete a classic trilogy display while filling your cart to meet the $160 Darksaber freebie limit, you might also want to think about adding the Yoda bust.

Lego Star Wars AT-RT Attack

At 297 pieces, this AT-RT Attack is the most compact and budget-friendly set in the entire drop. It launches on April 26 for $44.99, providing a quick, action-oriented build that qualifies you for the free Razor Crest mini-build. It’s also a great choice if you’re taking a child on a toy outing and want to keep expenses low.

Lego Star Wars The Mandalorian and Grogu: Allies & Villains (40856)

This 661-piece set releases just before the holiday on April 26 and heavily leans into the Mando excitement. Priced at just $39.99, it offers a fair amount of bricks to keep you engaged for an afternoon without breaking the bank. Plus, it’s an easy addition to your cart if you’re trying to reach that $160 target for the free Darksaber.

Lego Star Wars Yoda Bust (75438)

If you favor the classics over the newer Disney+ series, this 399-piece Yoda bust presents a quick and budget-friendly build. It won’t monopolize your entire weekend to complete, but it still helps you achieve the $160 minimum to score the free Darksaber set.
