Yes, Legos are designed for adults, and purchasing Legos is a legitimate way to allocate adult funds.
The premier plastic brick brand continuously unveils new sets, and for both collectors and casual enthusiasts, the past year has been an exciting period for Lego aficionados. As of Dec. 2025, Lego has broadened its collection to feature renowned items from Star Trek and The Goonies, in addition to innovative decor like their aquarium and fortune firecracker sets.
I dedicated my time to exploring all the top new Legos to select the finest options, from budget-friendly choices to more substantial investments. You can discover them below, along with some of the best releases from earlier in the year, including the Lego Game Boy and a new Star Wars set that has earned the title of the largest Star Wars Lego model ever created.

Lego Creator 3-in-1 Space Exploration Telescope

What’s as fascinating as space? The ability to construct this 278-piece set into three distinct configurations, featuring an adjustable telescope on a tripod, an adjustable microscope, or a UFO. It’s an ideal set for the space enthusiast in your life, regardless of age, and best of all, it retails for just $34.99. Preorders will be shipped starting January 1, 2026.
Lego Fortune Firecracker

Though Lunar New Year doesn’t arrive until February, you can prepare by pre-ordering this Lego Fortune Firecracker. The eight firecrackers “crackle” upon movement, and the complete set can be mounted on your wall. The center can also be opened to unveil one of two scenes of your choice — either a fireworks display or a God of Fortune celebration scene. Preorders will dispatch on January 1.
Lego Editions FIFA World Cup Official Trophy

In true Lego fashion, this replica offers more than meets the eye. The 2,842-piece set features a 14.5-inch brick version of the iconic World Cup trophy, but unlike the actual trophy, the top can open to reveal a World Cup scene. The real World Cup won’t occur until July of next year, but preorders for this set will ship out on March 1, 2026.
Lego Ideas The Goonies

The Goonies celebrated their 40th anniversary this year — what better way to commemorate this than by constructing this nearly 3,000-piece set, which highlights the legendary Inferno pirate ship and includes vignettes from the film? Unlike the full-scale ship designed for the movie, it won’t be tragic if you want to dismantle this one and rebuild it anew. Currently, this set is on backorder but should be available to ship out (no pun intended) 60 days after purchase.

The crew of the Lego U.S.S. Enterprise may be accustomed to more thrilling adventures than the trek to your office shelves or living room sideboard, but Star Trek fans will surely appreciate being welcomed by the display every day.
This Next Generation-themed 3,600-piece set includes nine minifigures, a detachable command saucer, a secondary hull, warp nacelles with striking red and blue detailing, an opening shuttlebay, two mini shuttlepods, and an angled display stand featuring a schematic and ship statistics. This set is also currently backordered and will ship out 60 days post-purchase.
Lego Icons Tropical Aquarium

This set boasts a staggering 4,154 pieces, but once built, maintaining a real aquarium will take significantly less effort. It even includes knobs and levers allowing you to “move” the sea life within, from a striped brickfish to sea anemones and, naturally, a sunken treasure chest. This backordered set will ship 60 days after purchase.
