“Stranger Things” might have wrapped up, but theories and conjectures persist. The series leaves Eleven’s (Millie Bobby Brown) destiny uncertain, yet Sadie Sink has a distinct viewpoint.

“I think she’s gone, I’m not sure,” remarks Sink, who plays Max in the Netflix series, during a segment from “The Tonight Show.” The audience responds with groans. “Is that like a controversial opinion or what? I believe Mike’s arc is merely one last narrative, and then they bid farewell to their childhood. But that’s just one final story. And that’s all. I see it as just a way to cope.”

Maybe the forthcoming Netflix documentary, “One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5,” will offer more definitive insights.
