The awards season is back after another significant year for film and television. The Golden Globe Awards will kick off this weekend, providing a glimpse of what’s ahead. Celebrities will gather in Los Angeles to celebrate outstanding achievements in film and television for 2025.

Comedian Nikki Glaser returns to solo host Hollywood’s “party of the year.” Numerous first-time nominees also join this year, including Dwayne Johnson, Chase Infiniti, Rhea Seehorn, Kevin Hart, Britt Lower, and more.

If you wish to be part of Hollywood’s grand evening and see your favorite stars shine, here’s all you need to know to watch the 2026 Golden Globes live.

When are the Golden Globe Awards?

The 83rd annual Golden Globe Awards will occur on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. You can watch live at 8 p.m. ET.

Who is nominated at the Golden Globes?

Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall revealed the 83rd Golden Globes nominees during a live CBS broadcast on Dec. 8. Paul Thomas Anderson’s ambitious epic One Battle After Another leads with nine nominations, followed by Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value with eight and Ryan Coogler’s Sinners (Mashable’s favorite movie of 2025) with seven.

On the television side, The White Lotus tops the nominations with six, followed by Adolescence with five, and both Only Murders in the Building and Severance with four.

Check out the complete list of nominees.

How to watch the Golden Globes live without cable

Due to a five-year agreement established last year between the Golden Globe Awards and CBS, the awards show will be broadcast live on the network. If you lack cable, you can livestream the show exclusively on Paramount+ Premium. The Paramount+ Essential plan will only provide access to the on-demand broadcast the day after the awards show airs.

Paramount+ Premium costs $12.99 per month, while Paramount+ Essential is $7.99 per month.

Another alternative? Subscribe to a live TV streaming service such as YouTube TV or Fubo. These platforms offer live streaming of local channels, including CBS, allowing you to catch the broadcast in real-time. They are more expensive than Paramount+, but you can take advantage of free trials if you’re a new user.

Is there a Paramount+ free trial?

Yes, for the time being. Paramount+ provides free seven-day trials for newcomers for both the Essential and Premium tiers (until Jan. 15). Therefore, technically, if you have never subscribed to Paramount+ before, you can sign up for a week-long trial of the Premium tier and enjoy the Golden Globes for free during that period. Just ensure you cancel your subscription before the trial concludes to avoid any charges.

Don’t qualify for the free trial? We’ve discovered several ways to save money on a subscription. Explore the best Paramount+ streaming deals below.

Best deal to watch live: Save 23% on a Paramount+ Premium annual subscription

To catch the Golden Globe Awards live, you will need the Paramount+ Premium plan, normally priced at $12.99 per month. However, you can save 23% by choosing an annual plan for $119.99 instead. This reduces the monthly cost to just $10 rather than $12.99. You will pay more upfront, but you will also receive greater value. In addition to the live broadcast, you’ll gain access to Showtime originals and movies (such as Yellowjackets and The Curse) plus live sports. Furthermore, you’ll secure this price for a whole year, avoiding the price hike scheduled for Jan. 15.

Best deal to watch later: Save 38% on a Paramount+ Essential annual subscription

If you’re okay with watching the awards show after it airs (and can resist spoilers),
