The U.S. maintains its interest in Greenland, yet conversations have reached an impasse, as the nation’s prime minister has made it clear that Greenland is not interested in joining the United States.

“Naturally, they don’t want to be a part of the United States at this moment,” Jimmy Kimmel said during his show Wednesday night. “Even people from the United States are hesitant about being part of the United States. It’s akin to being cast in a film that already has Bill Cosby in the lead role. People aren’t keen on it.”

Kimmel ponders the reasons behind President Donald Trump’s current fixation on Greenland.

“Perhaps he’s concentrating on Greenland to shift our focus away from another island,” Kimmel proposes. “We are still awaiting those Epstein documents.”
