Seth Rogen accepted the Best Actress in a Comedy Series honor for Catherine O’Hara at the 32nd annual Actor Awards, after O’Hara’s death on Jan. 30 at the age of 71. Rogen, who had worked with O’Hara on “The Studio,” expressed how she enhanced the Apple TV series by sending him and co-creator Evan Goldberg gracious notes prior to filming. Rogen stated, “She truly demonstrated that it’s possible to be a genius and be kind, and one of those qualities does not need to come at the cost of the other in any way, shape, or form.” He continued, “If you have individuals in your lives who are unfamiliar with her work, show them O’Hara dancing to Harry Belafonte in ‘Beetlejuice.’ Show them O’Hara injuring her knee in ‘Best in Show,’ and executing that incredible act where she hobbles around. And as they laugh, inform them that that’s Catherine O’Hara, and we were fortunate to live in a world where she so generously shared her gifts with us.”
