What is Connections: Sports Edition?
The NYT‘s newest daily word game, initiated with The Athletic, the New York Times’ sports reporting brand, is available on web browsers and mobile devices. Players need to group four words that have a commonality.

Each puzzle comprises 16 words, split into four categories. These sets may include titles of books, software names, country names, etc. Although several words might appear to fit together, only one combination is correct.
If a player successfully identifies all four words in a group, those words are taken off the board. An incorrect guess is considered a mistake — players are allowed up to four mistakes before the game concludes.

Players can rearrange and shuffle the board for better visibility of connections. Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the simplest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like Wordle, you can share your results with friends on social media.
