SNL UK’s Recent Cold Open Presents a Ruthless 4-Minute Satire of the Prime Minister

SNL UK kicked off its first sketch with a biting critique of Prime Minister Keir Starmer, leading Donald Trump to share the clip, and it appears the satire is set to persist.

The latest cold open is a spoof of the game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, showcasing a frazzled Starmer (played by George Fouracres) grappling with the question: “Is it ever wise to offer Peter Mandelson a position?” (Starmer has been under fire for naming Mandelson as the U.S. ambassador, who is currently facing criminal probes related to his connections with Jeffrey Epstein).

In the skit, even after lifelines narrow Starmer’s options to “Not in a million years,” he ultimately chooses “Yes”.
