Jimmy Kimmel allocated a considerable part of his Wednesday monologue to mock Donald Trump’s new White House plaques, while also addressing Texas senator Ted Cruz’s comment dubbing him “unfunny.”
This remark came during a Senate hearing that probed FCC chairman Brendan Carr about threats directed at Kimmel’s network ABC earlier this year, leading to Kimmel’s brief suspension. Cruz was one of the few Republicans to indicate that it is inappropriate for politicians to coerce the FCC, yet he also made his feelings about Kimmel clear.
“Jimmy Kimble [sic] is furious, blatantly partisan, and extremely unfunny,” Cruz remarked.
“Jimmy Kimble!” Kimmel retorts in the clip above. “I must say, profoundly unfunny stings my feelings. I would never claim he isn’t funny. I believe he’s quite humorous. It was funny when he flew off to Cancun during that snowstorm.”
